JUST THE RALLY FAQs
It’s never too early to make your plans for the annual Falling Leaf Rally the second weekend in October. To make your rally experience the best it can be, we’ve put together a Frequently Asked Questions section. If you have additional questions, just drop the rally-coordinator an email. We’ll do the best we can to provide an answer.
This is a BMW rally. It is open to BMW riders and owners. We also welcome riders of other brands of motorcycles. We are a private club on private property offering a friendly, fun, and safe family event. To be fair to everyone that paid an entrance fee, and to be sure everyone is covered by the event insurance, we provide wrist and motorcycle bands to all registrants. These bands must be visibly worn and attached to the motorcycle to access the rally site and receive your purchased meals. Garrison’s River Resort provides evening security.
The Gateway Riders invite everyone to arrive early. Plenty of shady campsites, RV sites, and cabins are available at off-season rates. You’ll need to secure early arrival reservations from the campground. We start the rally on Friday at noon. Early arrivals will have the opportunity to secure any campsite or cabin at off season rates. RVers will also be allowed to arrive early as well. The Gateway Riders will provide services Friday morning through Sunday morning. Everything is packed up and gone by Sunday 10 AM.
Cuba (8 miles) has several motels; Potosi (35 miles) has a Super 8, 573-438-8888; Sullivan has multiple motels available at I-44 and Hwy. 185. The Steelville area is the floating capitol of Missouri and there are local canoe outfitters with cabins for rent during off season. Onsite lodging is available at Garrison’s River Resort. Contact the resort at 573-775-2410.
Owners have to keep their pet leashed at all times. Owners must clean up pet waste immediately and completely. Be considerate of others. Please observe campground rules if you are on the rally grounds
Vendors are always encouraged to attend the Falling Leaf Rally. Vendor RV sites are available with full hookups including electricity. Reservations can be made with Garrison’s River Resort. Vendors are eligible for door prizes with paid rally admission. Optional meals for vendors are also available. Contact the Rally Coordinator for more information on Vending.
The rally grounds has no area for changing oil, replacing tires, or bike service. Here is a list of BMW Dealers and a BMW service shop.
