Thank you for your interest in joining!
We are BMW motorcycle enthusiasts. The Club is open to current BMW owners and licensed riders still looking for their first BMW motorcycle, even if riding another brand.
Our membership includes riders with decades of experience to new riders with their first BMW.
If you are experienced or looking to grow your experience, the Gateway Riders BMW Motorcycle Club is the best place in St. Louis to connect with riders that share your passion for BMW motorcycles.
Membership Requirements
The only requirements to join Gateway Riders is a love for riding and BMW motorcycles, even if you don’t own a BMW. It’s that simple!
Beginning in 2023, we no longer require attending a meeting and a ride to join. If you’d like more details see the “ByLaws” section below.
Individual licensed riders and their partners are eligible for memberships. This includes pillion riders (passengers only). While our primary activities are group rides on the most scenic roads in the St. Louis area, we also maintain a fantastic social calendar throughout the year.
All of our members are encouraged to attend any event.
New Member Dues are $26.00 in your first year (this includes $6.00 to cover a Gateway Riders BMW Motorcycle Club decal and your personalized name tag). Renewal dues are set each year by the Club. In 2023 renewal dues are $20.
As a member, you can:
- Attend weekend group rides around St. Louis including scenic Missouri and Illinois routes.
- Participate in “Tech Sessions” where our most experienced riders share knowledge and help members to maintain and upgrade their BMW motorcycles.
- Join us for social gatherings including our annual BBQ, Progressive Dinner Ride, and more.
- Get member-only access to the Gateway Riders BMW Motorcycle Club website and resources.
- Attend monthly club meetings and be eligible for motorcycle-related prizes.
- Attend, and bring guests to our Christmas Banquet (additional event fees apply).
- Get early access to the Falling Leaf Rally information and tickets (additional event fees apply).
In addition, our members can lead rides for the club to their favorite destinations, author articles for our website, and participate in “friendly” points and riding statistics competitions.
Fill out the “2023 Gateway Riders New Member Form” and pay your first year’s dues to join immediately. Our Membership Director, Glenn Phillips, will reach out to you to confirm your information and make sure you can get involved in our next event.
Need More Information? Reach out to Glenn using the Contact Form or contact any of the club officers listed here. Send Glenn a note (click here). You can also find our Officers and Directors contact information here.
We’d love to meet you and answer any questions about becoming a Gateway Riders BMW Motorcycle Club member.
Come Ride with Us
Rides Typically Start 9:00-9:30 AM on Saturdays or Sundays (Meet-up Location Varies)
If you just want to meet us at the next ride, show up early and ask for Glenn (Membership Director), Dan (Events Director) or the Ride Leader.
Check our Calendar for Ride Details and Maps to all of our Meet-up Locations.
Before joining us on a ride, please review the Safety and Group Riding Guidelines.
Meetings
None of us bought a motorcycle so we could go to meetings. Sometimes it’s the next best way to get together between rides. It’s also where we talk about all the upcoming rides and events, discuss the latest news from the AMA and MOA. We also have speakers and presentations at times.
Our next meeting is February 21st at 7:00PM at “Sports Café, 3579 Pennridge Dr, Bridgeton, MO.” That’s a Tuesday night and weather permitting, many of us ride to the meeting.
We reserve the room to the right when you walk in the door. Join us early (6:00PM) for dinner if you’d like. More details and most recent updates are always here.
We hope to see you soon on a ride or at the next meeting!
