The 43rd Falling Leaf Rally is just weeks away and the Gateway Riders welcome you to the best last-of-season rallies of the year.
Our rally officially starts Friday noon through Sunday morning 10 AM, October 12 – 14, 2018, when hundreds of BMW motorcyclists descend upon the Missouri Ozark town of Potosi, Missouri.
When we have enough volunteers to help with set up, we have been known to open up registration earlier than noon. Early arrivals are always welcome to lend a hand with rally setup and operations.
Many BMW motorcycle rally enthusiasts show up well before the official opening time on Friday. In fact, it’s somewhat of a tradition for some riders to get to Potosi earlier in the week.
Since the rally grounds are owned and operated by the Potosi Lions Club, it’s entirely up to them to allow camping on their grounds before the rally starts. The Gateway Riders have agreed to let early campers know there is a small fee for camping on the grounds prior to the start of the rally.
The Lions Club members will not provide any security and will not monitor the grounds before the rally. However, Lions Club members will be preparing the grounds and bringing in their supplies before the rally start time.
There will be a pre-rally daily camping fee donation box behind our Registration Table beginning noon Friday where you can deposit your pre-rally camping fee. It’s the honor system. We don’t want to take advantage of the Potosi Lions Club hospitality, so please pay their suggested charge. It will help them maintain the grounds for next year’s rally. Without the Lions Club, there would be no rally in Potosi.
We hope to see you at the Falling Leaf Rally October 12 to 14, 2018.
